My name is Carmen, I am a music PhD student in Canada. I study musical theatre.
I use this site to post about what I am working on in my doctoral program and on my own. I will post updates about my research process and progress, as well as some fun analysis work. This will be mostly musical theatre and tangentially related things, but sometimes I like to examine music in media/films/etc. I hope this will be a nice place where we can think critically about musical theatre works of all kinds and have interesting discussions, possibly relating some of the happenings in musical theatre to other forms of art and media.
